Norma Originals "Broadway Groom" Doll #1-227

This vintage doll from the 1950's was made by one of the smaller doll companies - Norma Originals. He is titled "Broadway Groom" and is Model #1-227. He is from the original owner. The owner told me he was displayed - never played with.

He is very well made with great attention to detail. He is wearing a top hat, tuxedo, ascot, shirt, black tux tail jacket, matching pant, painted black shoes and a boutonnieire. He is attached to the box by a pipe cleaner around his waist. He stands about 8", including his top hat. His hand painted face has eyebrows, blue eyes with long eyelashes, a mustache and red lips. He has painted black hair under his hat. The face is in good condition - no crazing. NOTE: The blue eyes do show a small paint chip in each eye.

He is all original. The original box is in good condition. No tears. One corner is a little bent - not bad. There is a label on one end that reads: Norma Originals/Made to be loved/Model l-227 "Broadway Groom".

Except for the eye paint chips, this doll is in excellent condition.
