Antique Silver Plate Butter Holder

This Antique Silver Plate Butter Holder was produced by the Benjamin J. Mayo Company. This company manufactured sterling and plated ware between 1860 - 1908.

It has a floral incised design with a crown shaped finial. The butter rest insert that holds the butter is slightly warped but stays in place securely. There are minor scratches on the butter rest insert and bottom chamber that holds the ice. The butter knife is not original to the set but has a 1908 mark.

It measures; 7 1/2 inches high x 8 inches wide x 6 1/2 inches deep.
