Lovely Small Victorian Shell Work Trinket Box

This lid of this small box is covered in sea shells. These boxes were often souvenirs or referred to as Sailor's Valentines. The box measures 4 1/4" x 2 3/4" x 1 1/4". The sides are covered in a patterned paper. The lid is still attached. There are a couple of chips on the shells.
