This folk art piece is charming and ready to use. The wood box measures 8 1/4" on a side and 4" tall. There is a drawer for holding the sewing accessories. The top has a large pin cushion. The fabric was probably purple velvet originally. Now it is dark with no nap. The inside of the drawer is lined in purple velvet. The top has contrasting woods and heart shapes in the corners. The sides are scalloped and layered in contrasting woods. The draw shows the original cigar box labels. This box is in very good condition. One leg has been repaired. One corner is missing a sliver.
