This is a most unusual piece of flow blue. It is a large vase with a painted (under glaze) floral design. It measures 9 1/2" tall. Over the blue decoration is a sponged gilding. The bottom is marked Phoenix Art Faience Forester's England. This is a 1884-88 mark of the Forester & Son Staffordshire Pottery. There is a small crack in the seam of the vase at the top. Otherwise excellent condition.
