This is a flow blue platter, 10 1/2" x 14". The blue on this platter is more of a teal blue. The pattern is marked MANDARIN. The center design is very similar in design to the willow pattern. The border is somewhat unusual. There is a crimped pie-crust edge and lots of gilding highlighting the design. The maker is Pountney & Co. Bristol Pottery. The mark is circa 1900+. This platter is has a very tight, stable hairline. It is also heavily crazed. . Ref.: Gaston, "Flow Blue China".
