This sewing box measures 8" x 6" x 5". The base of the box is a cigar box. Then the decoration has been carved and stacked to provide the 3-dimensional effect. Each of the centers of the squares and rectangles are covered in fabric for pin cushions. The top cushion has a loop for lifting the lid. The chip carving has five layers. The base has two ski-like feet. There is one square where the top layer is missing on one side. One of the feet is missing a piece. There are some scars, but really in quite good condition.
