This silverplate napkin ring is from the late 1800's when figural napkin rings were the rage. Most are silver plated over Britannia metal. This appears to be the case here. There is very little silver remaining making the ring look like pewter. The napkin ring itself has an engraved leave design. Beside the ring is a cut puppy dog. He looks like he is about to pounce. Very cute. NO identifying makers' marks. It measures 2 1/2" x 1 3/4". I have 2 of these rings in similar condition. The rings are out of round. The price is for a single ring.
