This is unusual for it is a folk art painting imitating a Springerle cookie mold. The hand painting is done in yellow paint on black. There are 9 rectangles filled with silhouettes_ bird, flower, squirrel, woman, house, man, calf, cherries, rooster. It is signed Velma E. Hartel 1/3. I have only 1. The art is framed under glass in a black frame with red under-paint. The back is covered in early wallpaper. The outside measurement is 7 3/4" x 6". Excellent condition.
