Hexagon Shaped Victorian Shell Sewing Box, Pin-Cushion Heart

This beautiful hexagon shaped box is covered in sea shells. This type of box is often called a Sailor's Valentine. The top has a Heart shaped pin cushion covered with teal blue silk. The heart is out-lined with shells. Matching teal ribbon bows adorn two sides of the lid. There are several large shells on the top to add dimension to the design. The sides are covered in vintage paper. The inside is cobalt blue. This box is in very good condition. I believe it has had some excellent restoration. It measures 4 1/2" in diameter and 3" deep.
