REDUCED Most Unusual Papier Mache Snuff Box, Sea Shell

I have had several papier mache snuff boxes and several Victorian shell boxes, but I have never had a shell snuff box. Without the shells, the papier mache snuff box is typical of early black lacquered snuff boxes with a hinged tight-fitting lid. This box has two rows of small shells around the box. The top is decorated with one large shell, a circular design of small shells and the border of small shells. Very good condition.
