This is two round boards with ribbon ties which are used to keep doilies or napkins flat_ hence, the name doily press. The top has been burned with a leaf design and beautifully painted in fall colors. In addition, there has been burning to resemble tortoise shell. This work is also named poker work. Excellent condition. An antique that is useful and ready.

This glove box measures 3 1/2" x 10" x 2". It is wood burned with a rose design on the top, front, and sides. The hinges are good. The clasp is missing the closure piece. The edge design on this box is especially appealing.

This pyrography oval wall piece measures 8 1/4" x 18". It is deeply wood burned with flower pot of daisies. There is a Greek Key design around the edge. There are cracks from the top and the bottom. The wood is sandwiched and the cracks are in only the top layer. Therefore it is very stable. Very attractive and ready to hang with a loop hanger on top.

This is a photograph holder is useful today as it was circa 1900 when it was made. It is burned with a young girl and flowers. The inside has the title, "PHOTO". The photograph holder measures 8" x 4 1/2" x 2 1/2". The leaves and the girl's dress is stained green. Very good condition.

This wood burned box (Flemish Art) measures 7" square and 3" deep. This size and shape is usually known as a handkerchief box. In a "gentler time" all ladies carried a lace hanky. The clasp and the hinges are original and intact. This box is burned deeply with a floral design. The inside of the lid has the name ROSE burned into it. The bottom has several practice designs. Very good condition.

This large letter box measures 7" x 13 1/2" x 3". This box is lighter in color than most pyrography (Flemish art). The design is long stemmed roses. Beautifully done. There is some splitting of the wood around one hinge. This is not broken through. There is also a split in the bottom. Not unusual for this type of box.

This table top frame has a stand. It measures 10" x 7 1/2" and has an oval opening 3 1/2" x 5 1/2". Currently it has a cabinet photograph of 4 children. No glass. The frame is nicely burned with two children on top and lilies on the bottom. There is a Flemish Arts stamp on the back. Good condition.

This shield shaped wood back is pryograph or Flemish Art. It is burned with a Art Nouveau design. The double coat or hat hook is iron. There is an iron hanger on the top back. It appears this had split at some time and been repaired with a piece of wood on the back. The shield measures 7" x 12".

This nice box measures 4 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 4 1/2". It is burned with grapes and grape vines and leaves. The unusual thing about this box is the directions are pasted inside the lid. There is also writing inside the lid. The bottom of the box has the initials G.R.M. The hinges and clasp are in good condition. There is some silver paint on the edge of the lid.

This nicely burned wood wall plague has rotating arms which come forward to hold a whisk broom. I suppose the arm could hold anything. There is a hole in the top for hanging on the wall. The piece measures 5 3/4" x 9 1/2". The design is acanthus leaves. Excellent condition.

This small wood-burned (Flemish Art) bowl is deeply burned and painted with vivid reds and greens. The bowl measures 5 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/2" tall. There are three wooden ball feet. It is in very good condition. There are two small tight cracks at the rim. This is very common in pyrography pieces.
