Authentic VINTAGE COSTUME circa 1946 from my personal collection. This charming, DARLING ensemble was made to depict a gypsy / Dancer / fortune teller costume. Authentic vintage costumes from this era are very hard to find. This is a wonderful example.

Included are a peasant style blouse with long VERY full sleeves that are gathered at the cap and then to a finished cuff. The jewel neckline is gathered and closes with a printed bow that matches the skirt fabric. It closes with back snaps and has a FITTED waist with a short fitted peplum. The skirt is calf length and gathered very full and is a FULL CIRCLE. It has waist band and side metal zipper.

The printed fabric of the skirt matches the triangle scarf that is meant to be worn on the head but can fit the shoulders.

This was made for a young girl, or woman of small stature, and while the bust seems large please note: the waist measurements. The fabric is all cotton. The blouse is SHEER white batiste. The skirt is printed cotton of white polka dots and flowers on a black field. Trims are all coordinated.

Condition is EXCELLENT! It is clean, fresh and the fabric is very strong. There are no holes or weak seams. Note: there is a small scorch on one sleeve that does not detract. The colors are not QUITE as bright as they appear on my monitor. Color is very, very good.

NOTE: This is for a SMALL woman or teen size: Blouse measurements: Bust 36 ( very blousey fit) , waist 23, across upper back 14.5, sleeve length from shoulder to finished cuff is 22.5.

Skirt: waist 22, hip free, length 30 inches and it is a FULL CIRCLE. The scarf is a 36" x 25" x 25" triangle.
