The waist is lightly dropped. The sleeves are WONDERFUL!! The rich brown velvet of the bodice matches the attached scarf and the trim on the bottom of the sleeves. The buttons are covered with the velvet as well. The inset at the bodice and the skirt fabric are the same warm brown.

The set in sleeves are straight cut to mid fore arm. Then they have a blouson attachment that is gathered to the cuff. The cuffs and bodice inset are decorated with the self fabric buttons. The flared skirt flows with a circumference of 150 inches and is BIAS CUT for lots of flare! Is this darling or what?

The fabric is silk and is beautiful. Bust 36, waist 34, hip up to 40, across upper back 13, center back to hem 45.

Condition is excellent vintage. There are no spots, stains, underarm discoloration or shrinking. The scarf needs to be tacked down at the back and the snap at the back neck closing is gone. There is a 2 inch seam separation along one edge of the inset, in front. There are 3 small holes in the skirt. I have pictured one and can't find the other two. They are very small.

The hem is great, the velvet is not crushed or discolored. This fabric is strong. You can wear this dress with confidence.
