This GORGEOUS dress is a wonderful example of the return to shaped, feminine clothing during the Depression Era; after the flapper fashions were on the way OUT! The one piece dress with side snap closure features a yoke and sleeves of lace. The body of the dress is a rich cocoa brown . There are horizontal sewn pleats just below the natural waistline as well as a wide self fabric sash. The skirt is set to the lower bodice in an inverted "V" design. The bias cut of the skirt gives it lots of flare and flow.

The bodice is lined with illusion silk and there are teeny tiny rosettes set between the lining and the lace. They just make a peek-a-boo of feminine accent. The set in sleeves taper to a fitted cuff. There is a snap at the wrist for a nice close fit.

Measurements in inches: bust 34, waist 30, hip 36, Center back to hem 45, sleeve length from shoulder to cuff 24.

Condition is excellent. There is a snag in the lace on one sleeve ( pictured) leaving a small hole. There may be another, but I can not find it now. There is a light spot on the bodice that I have tried to show in pictures. It is such a slight variance it hardly photographs.

The pictures have been lightened slightly to show detail. This is a rich, cocoa brown. The fabric is strong and the dress can be worn with care and confidence. Just shy of 80 years old and of course is not meant for casual wear.
