This lovely example of American folk art comes from an extensive collection. Look for more unusual pieces in my shop under antiques and collectibles from this estate.
This exquisitely decorated early CHRISTMAS GIFT, pyrographed box is three sided. This is a very unusual shape and the only such one in the collection. On the bottom it is inscribed Dec. 25, 1907 Guymon.
The lid is beveled to fit tight and not wiggle. The inside is lined in deep red velvet. The top and sides are all lavishly decorated with nasturtiums.
This was a Christmas present in 1907 and is either a trinket or jewelry box. It has been treasured in this collection. This signed box measures 6 1/4 inches on each side. It is 2 & 1/8 inches high. The work is excellent and undamaged with no warping. There is very minor wear to three pointed corners. No chipping, just some minor rubbing.
Shipping is FREE for regular mail and delivery confirmation in the USA. International rates apply. Insurance always recommended, not paid by the seller. Multiple items combined for shipping.
Item ID: pyro059
