A delightful duo! This is the MOST darling pair of porcelain demi-tasse cups and saucers. These would be lovely with a rose themed coffee or chocolate set.

All in MINTY condition. Lavishly decorated with floral decal work this pattern is sometimes called Moss Rose because of the lovely rose and floral decoration. The company named the line: HOSTESS. These are circa 1940 by Gold Castle, a Japanese export just before World War II began.

The body is white with soft yellow bands. The flowers are a delight of multi colored blossoms. A lacy gold trimming circles the white body of the pieces. The delicate handles are accented with gold paint which also trims the edges of all the pieces. The floral decoration is at the inside, bottom of each cup. How "old world" to sip your beverage and find flowers at the bottom!

The little cups are 2 & 1/4 across the opening and 2 inches high. The saucers are 4 & 1/4 inches across. Condition is MINTY. No cracks, chips, repairs or discoloration. This is such a feminine pattern.
