Exquisite pink tea roses lay in luscious display along the side of this large porcelain bowl. Rampant with color, lush with dimension they are as delightful as one could wish to find in your own Victorian Rose Garden. The elegantly articulated, rich gold rim makes an exquisite frame for the artist's work. The rim is articulated. The bowl gracefully flares up and out. There is a delicate rim beneath and it sits perfectly level.

All of these amazing colors are displayed on a pallet of antique white in amazing detail. You can see the thorns, rich shading of leaves, detailed veins, gently curling petals, and undulating stems. You can almost feel the velvet of the petals! This is an absolute delight.

Even the porcelain artist's signature ~ Garin ~ is a delicate work of art in itself The under glaze back stamps: Marseille / Bavaria / Royal Munich / Hand Painted.

Please view all of the pictures, shown in complete detail, including the mark. This large bowl is 12 & 1/4 inches X 6 inches and is 2 inches deep. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There are no rubs or signs of wear to the images. There are some slight rubs to the applied gold at several points. The bowl is as sound as the day it was thrown and rings with crystal clarity. The is a hard paste porcelain similar to that produced in Limoges, France, not subject to the rigors of time found with soft paste or bone china.
