1940's Fabulous UNCUT pattern with cascading ruffles... KILLER! This is a dress: Bust 40 is uncut, in original envelope with the instruction chart...especially for you from Toinette's.

Super special cocktail dress and so great to find in this size! This beautiful dress was designed in the 1940's after the war when fabric was no longer rationed and all the extra embellishments were once again available to the home seamstress.

This one piece dress features a cascading ruffle from shoulder to hem inserted at the side front seam OR from the shoulder to the waist. Choice of short sleeves with shaped hem or long fitted sleeves. Side front fullness is achieved in the skirt by a godet inserted in the seam. A sash belt with bow is optional. This design WEEPS to be beaded!

Use a print ( TROPICAL RAYON would be fabulous). Use a solid rayon velvet or wispy silk. You could use cotton voile or shantung, crepe or georgette. Most any modern fabric would work beautifully if it falls in a drape.

Measurements: Bust 40, waist 34, hip 43. Check my other listings if you need a slightly different pattern. I have over 1500 patterns not yet listed in the shop. This is an UNUSED, unprinted pattern by Simplicity
