E-mail for DETAILS about my current SALE!
This is an unprinted sewing pattern by Butterick circa 1947. This is an original, never a copy at Toinette's.
The one piece dress has a focal point of a SHUTTER NECKLINE. Rare! The bodice and sleeves and WIDE COLLAR are cut as one. This is so unique. This wide collar can be worn open to show a square neckline or closed with one button.
The neckline has a series of 10 short darts across the top for shaping, again... UNIQUE! There is also a series of darts across the front waistline to repeat the silhouette of the neckline.
One mannequin is shown wearing the dress with a contrasting color on the collar. This is another smashing detail to make this dress stand out as one for the books!
I've attached a picture of the pattern pieces that make up the bodice. VERY UNIQUE drafting! I love the drawings of the mannequins. Fabulous hair styles. Their hats, furs, gloves and shoes show the appropriate accessories for the ensemble. If you ever need to see Era specific details of how women dressed in days gone by these pattern envelopes are wonderful.
Bust 34, waist 28 and hip 37. This unprinted pattern has been cut, and is complete with the instruction page. The envelope shows some wear. Everything is CLEAN.
E-mail me if you need a different pattern. There are hundreds and hundreds of patterns in the shop.
