Hollywood ELEGANT Evening Gown and Jacket 1930s Sewing Pattern

Take this to the sewing club and BRAG! Especially for you from Toinette's. All original patterns in my shop NEVER a reprint or CD copy. This AMAZING pattern is too wonderful for words! Bust 34.

Fabulous floor length, very full skirt ball gown, Bust 34. This is an original, never a copy, reprint or re-issue at Toinette's. This is a Simplicity unprinted pattern circa 1939. This design was drafted at the height of Hollywood Fashion. Every woman wanted to dress like Vivien Leigh and dance in a dress that would make Ginger Rogers proud.

This one piece, floor length gown has narrow straps, and a sweet heart neckline that is edged in pleating. It has a sculpted bodice achieved with gathering at the front darts. The skirt with an inverted accent at the front center is joined to the bodice at the natural waistline.

The snappy little jacket with an abbreviated peplum has pleated to edge the collar and sleeve cuffs. The sleeves have a HIGH gathered cap and gathering at the outside, just above the cuff. SUCH SWEET sleeves! The jacket closes with front buttons and has princess seaming in the back for a corset effect. WONDERFUL!

Is this fabulous or what! I've never had this pattern in over 30 years of collecting. I would put it on the rare side of a pattern collection.

Make this outfit up in moire, spun rayon, dimity, batiste, organdy, taffeta, organza, silk, georgette, soft satin, crepe, surah, shantung, novelty silk, cotton, and a combination of silk velvet and rayon will make up a truly authentic vintage ensemble from the 40's.
