Authentic VINTAGE PATTERN circa 1979. This is a printed sewing pattern by famed Hollywood film costume designer, Edith Head, (1897 - 1981 ). Miss Head was awarded more Academy Awards than any woman in history.

This is a SPECTACULAR, superbly designed ensemble. 34 bust line, Waist is 26.5 and hip is 36 It is UN CUT in the factory folds. BONUS: with the very collectible Vogue American Designer Original woven label. Given excessively with the purchase of this pattern decades ago.

There is a facsimile autograph on the envelope. AND someone, probably the original owner copied the signature on the envelope front. It is a very good copy. However I do not have any reason to believe it is an authentic autograph.

The design is for a jacket, blouse, skirt and pants. The loose fitting, unlined jacket, slightly below the hip has a cardigan neckline that meets at center front. The pockets are in the front princess seams. The sleeves are full wrist length. The top stitched, loose fitting sleeveless hip length blouse has a front draped neckline and back zipper closing. A self tie belt holds in fullness at the waistline. The evening length A-line skirt or straight legged pants have a waistband and size zipper closing.

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS: Imagine this in cashmere! Use soft or crisp fabrics such as jersey, crepe, lightweight wool, knits, crepe de chine, pongee, challis and single knits such as metallic or matte jersey, also velveteen for jacket skirt and pants. And of course RAYON!

This is for a 34 bust line, Waist is 26.5 and hip is 36. It is complete with the instruction page. This pattern has not been cut. It is in the original factory folds. The envelope shows some wear and has some spots.

There are notations on the back by the original owner for fabric requirements and cost of fabric. She totaled up $93.68 to make the entire ensemble, NOT including the cost of the pattern!
