Here is a wonderful pattern for you to take to the next meeting of your sewing club. The girls are going to love it. Bust 34 for a Butterick unprinted pattern dated 1898. This is an original. never a copy at Toinette's!
This one piece dress has a wonderful variety of styles and finishes for a terrific wardrobe of vintage clothing. the one piece dress has a choice of a shirt waist with neckband and an attached or separate turn over collar or a slightly open neck and flat collar. full length sleeves or 3/4 sleeves. You can finish the sleeves in a mannish cuff or a wide shaped cuff with button accents.
You can also finish the collar in a wide shape or a scalloped edge. The attached peplum in one version can be scalloped along the hemline. Feminine lady like dress or a working woman's dress of the era. Your choice and such a fun one!
Bust 34, waist 28 and hip 37. The pattern has been cut, is an unprinted pattern & complete with the instructions printed on the envelope. Tissue pieces show minor wear. The envelope shows significant wear along the top.
Fabric suggestions: Corduroy, gabardine, tweed, worsteds, flannel, cotton in firm or filmy finish for the more feminine design.
