UNCUT 1940s vintage sewing pattern still in the original factory folds, just for you from Toinette's. This AMAZING pattern is too wonderful for words! Bust 34: You can create your own PERSONAL vintage clothing collection!!

Fabulous floor length, full skirt ball gown, Bust 34. This is an original, never a copy, reprint or re-issue at Toinette's. This is a Simplicity printed pattern dated 1940.

This one piece, floor length gown has short sleeves. They are gathered high at the cap and can be gathered to the cuff for extra fullness OR made with tucks at the cuff. The square neckline (so flattering)! can be trimmed with bias binding or rows of dainty lace. The bodice and skirt are gathered to a WIDE double inverted waist yoke, for a corset effect. WONDERFUL!

The very full, floor length skirt is done with EIGHT gores. It can be trimmed along the seams of the gores with lace to match the bodice. The plaid version is unadorned and uses contrasting fabric for the faux cummerbund.

Is this fabulous or what! I've only had this pattern one other time in the last 15 years. I would put it on the rare side of a pattern collection.

Make this outfit up in spun rayon, dimity, batiste, organdy, taffeta, organza, silk, georgette, soft satin, crepe, surah, shantung, novelty silk, cotton, and a combination of silk velvet and rayon will make up a truly authentic vintage ensemble from the 40's.
