1950s SALTED & Hand Painted Bead Necklace & Earrings Made in Japan

Fancy fun from Toinette's jewelry box! This set will go with so many ensembles. This double strand necklace and earring set is a terrific example of "salted" beads so popular in the mid 1950s.

Some of the red beads are decorated with hand painting. Some have splashes or are drizzled with gold paint and some have a salting of tiny beads and silver paint. The lacy caps and spacer beads are silver tone. Like I said... this is a great variety of shape, color.

The clip on style earrings are 7/8th inch across. The three stand necklace has a slide and lock clasp. The clasp is covered with a cluster of the beads... to match the earrings. It is 22 inches end to end. Condition is excellent noting: some MINOR wear on the back of the earring clips.
