This is an anthropomorphic scene a la Louis Wain and all of those turn-of-the-century post cards! It features a couple of black kitties promenading under an umbrella, it may be Halloween, or these two may be making their New Year’s visits. The box is signed by the house of Perlam, in Limoges, and it is porcelain. It is lustrous. The date of the jar is early 20th century, and condition is good. The subject is extremely charming and well-rendered, also. It measures about 3 inches high by 5 inches across.
