"Forets de l'Ile de France... 1949 N°70(48) RC SEINE 276-448 B - DE PLAS... Printed in France for and by the French National Railways." This is a French SNCF Railroad Advertizing Poster from 1949. About 24 by 39 inches, this poster features a lovely gouache by Chapelain-Midy, and it is original (the painting was made for the purposes of printing the posters, which was done soon afterwards.) There is a little damage to the edges, the worst of which is a small tear near the top left corner. Ready to frame.
