SATISFACTION GUARANTEED ~ Holiday Layaways ~ Multi-Purchase Discounts ~& a 1950s STEIFF TURKEY Looking for a Holiday Table!!
This pot is exceptionally clean - it looks like it has never been used. There is NO wear to the gold on either the handle or the knob on the lid. The spout and all inside rim edges are perfect, with no signs of chipping whatsoever.
Unfortunately, while It is beautiful on a display shelf, when it is picked up, there is wear on the gold on both sides is almost immediately obvious. PLEASE SEE OUR PHOTOS! The pot's right side is better than its left. We have not attempted to touch up any of this, preferring to offer it as found. As Hall collectors know, Golden Glo pieces in fine condition are scarce because the 22-karat gold top glaze is very soft and scuffs easily. Further, this style coffee pot with its delicate long spout and tall handle is very hard to find.
Consequently, we're offering this piece -- with no physical damage except scuffing on both sides -- because it would serve very well in a collection until a perfect one comes along.
The Golden Glo line is kitchenware produced by the Hall China Company beginning in the 1940s, with the brilliant gold applied over their Hi-White base ware.
IMPORTANT: We hope you'll also consider our "Golden Glo" cream and sugar set (see last photo). They look good as a grouping, but the sugar and creamer are the "Boston" shape made for a "Boston" tea pot, not this coffee pot which was accompanied by different shape cream/sugar set.
