Canadian National RR Clear Cast Adlake Kero "Shorty" Lantern Globe

This really nice clear cast globe would be a fine upgrade to any Canadian National Railroad lantern frame that will take a "short" or 3-1/2 inch tall globe. It was made for an Adlake Kero but will also fit some Dressel and Handlan frames.

This globe is in excellent condition with no damage other than light rim scuffs expected from use. The glass is bright, shiny and crystal clear with no cloudiness or scratching.

On the globe, CNR is strongly cast in an oval panel beneath ADLAKE KERO . On the opposite side is cast the CNX logo of its maker, the Corning Glass Company.

A nice globe that would be a good addition to any collection of railroad lanterns or railway lighting equipment. Cast globes from Canada can be harder to find in the States.

White (clear or frosted) - safety, a signal that it is safe to proceed

Red (cranberry or ruby) - danger ahead - a signal to stop

Yellow (Amber or brown) - use caution - proceed at reduced speed

Blue (cobalt) - placed on a car or engine as a signal that it is not to be moved

Green (teal, Kelly or blue-green) - use caution - a signal to proceed slowly; also a green lantern would be displayed on a wreck derrick to signal the engineer of a wreck train
