Here is a Dietz Lo-Top Vesta railroad brakeman's lantern from the Lehigh Valley Railroad in super nice condition. This lantern is very clean, sound, straight and complete (except there is no wick). It is in display ready condition and needs only a shelf to sit on and be enjoyed.

On the top of the apron on the lid it is stamped L.V.R.R. The globe is etched to match: L.V.R.R. The globe is also cast with the Kopp Company's "Circle K" mark near the top. It is in excellent condition with only light scuffs on the rims expected from use.

Of several patent dates stamped on the lid rim, the latest is S-7-44 (September 7, 1944).

The only flaw we could find with this lantern is that the base ring ends were not soldered together end to end when ti was made (PLEASE SEE THE PHOTOS!) This could be corrected by a simple re-solder job.

A very nice addition to any collection of good railway lanterns, or for a RR fan from the New York - Pennsylvania area where the Lehigh Valley ran.
