This steel coach key from the Boston & Maine Railroad is unusual because it is marked B&MRR on the bow. The great majority of railway coach keys were never RR marked. It is also marked down the shaft: R&E MFG CO. on one side and SOLID STEEL on the other.

This key is just under 3-1/2 inches long in excellent+ condition with no bends or twists and good sharp definition on the bit. It has developed a lovely patina over the years, with absolutely no rust. A great addition to any collection of vintage railroad padlocks and keys, especially for a railfan from Maine, Massachusetts or New England.
