Mint/as new condition: this exquisite saucered ramekin is surrounded by trailing morning glory flowers in shades of pink and blue, with brilliant gold trim. Made in the finest fragile porcelain by Haviland of Limoges, France, it carries two backstamp marks (#12 and #13) the combination of which dates it between 1894 and 1931. This china is so delicate you can see your fingers through it when it is held up to the light. Incredibly, both pieces are in perfect, undamaged, like new condition. This pattern, called “Jefferson,” was also used by the Missouri Pacific Railroad as dining car china in the late 1800s-early 1900s; the railroad added a top logo and custom backmarking to pieces they purchased. The little ramekin dish is not quite 3-1/2 inches across, the saucer is 5-1/4 inches across. A wonderful set for anyone who collects antique French porcelain, unusual floral or hard to find pieces, or for a railroad collector to use to round out a display of “Jefferson” until a very rare marked piece comes along.
