It comes complete with a super nice color, darkest ruby red older globe that is correct and authentic, but has no railroad markings.
This lantern is rust free and is in good, clean condition with a working wick raiser, smoke dome top that turns and adjustable bail handle. It has the usual small bumps and dings expected from ordinary use so it does not sit completely 100% flat on the counter - although it's almost 100%.
A fine addition to any collection of RR lanterns.
**************************************************** RAILROAD GLOBE COLOR MEANING:
White (clear or frosted) - safety, a signal that it is safe to proceed
Red (cranberry or ruby) - danger ahead - a signal to stop
Yellow (Amber or brown) - use caution - proceed at reduced speed
Blue (cobalt) - placed on a car or engine as a signal that it is not to be moved
Green (teal, Kelly or blue-green) - use caution - a signal to proceed slowly; also a green lantern would be displayed on a wreck derrick to signal the engineer of a wreck train
