This butterpat was made by Lamberton China. Its “Design Patented” backmark identifies it as made before 1949 (only Lamberton “patent applied for” pieces are earlier). It displays beautifully with only very light use marks in the center which do not show unless you tilt it in bright light to look for them. Absolutely no chips, cracks, flakes, etc. There are several of the very lightest of age marks around the very edges of the rim, but you must look hard to see them.
The center design is “Horse Drawn Car 1830” inside a rim design that resembles flow blue. This would be a lovely addition to any collection of RR china, especially for a railway fan interested in artifacts from the Chesapeake - Maryland - Ohio - Mid-Atlantic region.
