Here is a VERY rare find in railway memorabilia: a delicate little New York Central railroad cordial or after-dinner liqueur or wine glass. Best of all, it is in absolutely pristine condition.

It stands a graceful 3-1/2 inches tall and holds only 3/4 ounce. On the side correctly is a NYC crest in white enamel.

This glass, made by Libbey, is their Georgian style #8053 cordial. Libbey made a number of types of glass and bar ware for the New York Central using the white frosted lettering with an underline, as illustrated in Larry Paul’s “Sparkling Crystal” railway glassware identification guidebook.

This tiny glass would be a star in any collection of better railway glassware or passenger dining car items. Good things do come in small packages!
