Here is a fabulous Victorian era (or earlier, possibly Civil War era) watch fob made from human hair. It is an absolute work of art. Total length including the clips at each end is nearly 20 inches. My sister and I found this watchfob in with family jewelry when we cleared things out of our parents’ home. This came down through our great aunt, and we believe it probably belonged to her father (1840-1906) or perhaps her grandfather (1809-1885). We do not know who made it, or where it came from ...
