Antiques:Accessories:Shaker
This glorious little 1-finger pantry box with such a beautiful wood grain is only 5-3/8 inches long, 3-3/4 inches wide and 2-1/4 inches tall. We believe it to be of Shaker origin. We are located not far from where several Shaker societies flourished -- Niskayuna (outside Albany) and New Lebanon, New York; and Hancock (Pittsfield), Massachusetts. This appealing little box has 1/4 inch boards on its top and bottom, with the wafer-thin sides held on by the tiniest imaginable nails. The well formed ...

Antiques:Accessories:Stoneware:Crocks:Bennington
This attractive little crock was made between 1858 and 1881 by Edward & Luman P. Norton of Bennington, Vermont. It is a lovely example of early New England stoneware pottery. E.& L. P. NORTON BENNINGTON VT. is impressed on the front above a shaded blue floral decoration which looks like a leaf or possibly a fern. The blue contrasts beautifully with the pleasing, lightly speckled base color. There is no number designation but it holds approximately 1 - 1-1/2 gallons. It is just over 7 inches tall ...
