1975 Phillies Whiz Kids Silver Anniversary Souvenir Program, Mint

Hello to the millions of Philadelphia Phillies fans throughout Pennsylvania and around the country. Today I'm offering for sale an official program which was handed out on August 16, 1975, at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, Pa., which commemorates the Silver Anniversary of the 1950 Whiz Kids. The Phillies, on the final day of the season which was October 1, 1950, went on to beat the Brooklyn Dodgers in 10 innings and win the National League Pennant. This year history repeats itself as the Phillies once again are facing the New York Yankees in the 2009 World Series for only the second time in World Series history.

Their is a total of 14 pages in this Souvenir Program which includes the following items: The first two pages gives a short breakdown of the season and the play by play broadcast of the 9th and 10th innings of the final game of the season between the Phillies and the Brooklyn Dodgers….How Neat is That!. Then there are five pages of photos showing each member of the Phillies (Whiz Kids) and a short story under each photo. In the center of the program is a team photo of the Whiz Kids. On three of the pages are 15 action photos of the Whiz Kids playing different teams from the 1950 season. On the last page are statistics of the Phillies 1950 season. All photos throughout the program are in black and white.

Condition: This program is in Mint condition.
