Offered for sale is this Brown Glazed Pottery Wishing Well with matching Brown Glazed Pottery Bucket made in Occupied Japan between 1945 - 1953. This is a fairly large piece of Occupied Japan as you will see by the measurements below:

It measures 4 7/8” in diameter across the bottom of the wishing well and 7 5/8” tall at the tallest point from right above where the string is for the bucket down to the bottom of the wishing well. The well measures 3 7/8” in diameter across the top and 2 7/8” deep from the top of the well to the bottom. The bucket measures 1 5/8” in diameter and 1 1/8” deep.

We believe this is redware because the outside bottom of the bucket is not glazed and is a deep reddish color. The outside bottom of the well has Made In Occupied Japan right under the glazing. This is quite a wonderful piece indeed!

Condition: Very good condition. This piece is bright and very clean.

A very nice Wishing Well to give as a gift, or display in your house, or in a garden with small flowers in it.
