Offered here are Two Ding Dong School Books titled “My Big Brother” and "Mr. Meyer's Cow”, both written by Dr. Francies R. Horwich and Reinald Werrenrath, Jr., and published by the Rand McNally Company of Chicago. If you grew up in the 1950’s, you might have watched Ding Dong School TV show on Saturday mornings on NBC. It aired from 1951 to 1956 and again in 1959 and 1960. Ding Dong School was a preschool TV program hosted by Miss Frances, who was really Dr. Frances Horwich. It featured simple games and common everyday experiences re-enacted and discussed by Miss Frances. Mr. Werrenath was the producer and director of the program. Miss Frances wrote a total of 28 Ding Dong School Books. Below are the titles, the years, printings, and the conditions of the books:

No. 1: Title “My Big Brother” dated 1954, 6th printing. A story of a relationship between an older brother and his younger sister and the spirit of what co-operation should be all about.

**Condition: Good Condition. The front and back covers are clean and bright. There is wear along the spine, a tiny piece missing from the bottom of the spine, all the corners are bumped on the front and back covers, and a crease mark at the bottom right corner of the back cover. The inside pages are in very good condition, very clean and bright.

No. 2: Title "Mr. Meyer's Cow” dated 1955, 6th printing. A story about a friendly black and white cow named Sally Ann and all the chores it takes before Mr. Meyers finally milks Sally Ann; teaching youngsters where milk comes from when they have it at meal time.

**Condition: Fair condition. There is wear along the spine, tears at the top and bottom of the spine, small pieces missing from the top and bottom of the spine, a crease mark across the middle of the front cover, light wear on the front and back covers, all the corners are bumped on the front and back covers, tiny piece missing from the left edge of the back cover, and spots of the back cover are missing near the top left corner. The inside pages are in good condition, very clean and bright. There are bends at the top and bottom right corners of most of the corners of the inside pages, and a small indentation at the right edge of the inside pages.
