Lovely Czechoslovakian Hoffman Crystal Vanity Box / Cigarette Box w/ Butterfly

This is a beautiful crystal box with an intaglio decoration of a cherub and nude lady. This does have the Hoffman signature butterfly on it. The peach color, crystal glass is beautiful. There are a few tiny nicks on this piece, but are all small enough they could be buffed out by a glass man for a small fee. Not deep. The pictures show all. The scene is really lovely. No cracks or fractures or repairs, just the little teen-sy chippies and a few scratches on the bottom, that don't show up like the much magnified pictures!

This box could have been used to hold cigarettes or just a vanity box. These lovely pieces were made in the 1920's and 1930's. Hoffman was a famous glass maker in that time period. The butterfly was his own logo and was his signature on the pieces he created. At that time he would have about 120 employees to hand polish these jewels. If you are a collector of Czechoslovakian Glass or perfume bottles, this would go lovely in your collection. It is just a gorgeous box to have. These hand polished treasures shine like diamonds...well...almost! A real piece of art from days past. 4" X 3". This crystal box is simple yet so elegant.
