This commercial perfume bottle is a beauty and quite rare indeed. This lovely perfume bottle was designed by Julien Viard for Richard Hudnut. It is crystal with cobalt blue color overlay. This perfume bottle held the scent "La Soiree", and came out in 1927. The stopper has a molded design in it accented with gold enamel paint The bottle is perfect except for a bit of minor wear to the gold on the stopper in one small area.

Around the top of the bottle it is acid etched, Richard Hudnut "La Soiree". It is also acid etched on the bottom with initials and a round acid etched area w/ Hudnut's logo and "Bottle Made in France". This is a very special and rare find!

It shows better in person than it does in the books, and it is lovely in the books. This crystal perfume bottle sparkles.

Julien Viard, the designer of this perfume bottle, is famous for many beautiful creations in the perfume bottle industry. The perfume bottle is 4" tall. It shows two different stoppers in the books and it also came in red.

You will find this perfume bottle in some of the nicer perfume bottle books. Jacquelyn Jones-North's book, "Commercial Perfume Bottles" on page 93, with an estimated value of $750.00 with the box.

Ken Leach also shows this bottle in his book, "Perfume Presentations - 100 Years of Artistry", on page 194.
