Melba Mfg. Co was established in Chicago in 1912 by Frances W. Jones. This is one of the first perfume bottles ever to come out from Melba in 1913, and the scent was "Lov ' Me", but is now empty. The glass perfume bottle has a wonderful metal label and a flower decoration on each side of the bottle. The top of the "Eau de Toilette" bottle also has a metal top and was a sprinkle type perfume bottle. Still in its original box, for those of you that like the really old commercial bottles this one is in perfect shape! It is getting much harder to find the wonderful metal labels. This one is in great shape all around including the pretty flowered box with the lavender flowers and the interior of the box. It is a tall bottle standing 5 1/2" and 2 1/2" across the base. Melba is also the Company that produced nudes on their bottles in the early 1920's. Cool!
