A wonder small French jewelry box made of gold filigree and a beveled mirror. The French box is standing on four gold metal legs and sits evenly. The glass atop of the box is thick and beveled and is in great shape. The mirror is somewhat spotted as you can see in the pictures. Absolutely stunning, is this gorgeous, Turn of the Century Bronze box from France with a wonderful thick enamel top with one of the Saints, I believe. She is so pretty. Her head dress is in a foiled red enamel. This one will show very nicely in your collection of French boxes. The enamel is in very good condition with just a few small scratches. This is one of the nicest and most unique boxes I have found to date. This looks as though it should be in a Museum. It is a red leather box covered over with a ornate gold bronze filigree with all six sides showing porcelain pieces, hand-painted bouquets of flowers. The lining is superb, with a tucked, and buttoned, white, soft leather lining. This could have been added later as the gold trim around it doesn't look very old and I've never seen inside a French Casket that looked like this. ...

Lovely French box, marked on the bottom, "France". The ivory portrait of the lady is signed by the artist, and is Le Brun, I believe. In really good shape there is just some slight areas of discolor in the gold color metal. The original lining is still inside on both the bottom and the top. Very nice detailed work around the portrait on the gold Dore French box. Very good condition. The box is 4 1/2" by 4" by 1 1/2" tall.

This piece is pretty special. It is a unique French box covered in a glassed enamel with a couple detailed together under the strings of the Mandolin. The bottom part opens up revealing the inside of the box which is also enamel. The bottom is enamel over copper. There is a flea bite chip off the enamel on the inside, about 1/8", and part of it goes up under the metal edging. This box was made in France prior to 1900. It has a portrait which is a print and not hand painted. The box is in good shape except there is no lining left inside. It needs a little cleaning but it is a very pretty oval box, used for jewelry or a vanity box. Most of these came with a lining of some sort. Good shape but not perfect. The hinge and clasp work well. It is 3 1/2" by 3".

In excellent condition is this French dresser or jewelry box. It has a hand-painted picture, under glass, of a man and lady. The inside is lined on both the top and the bottom with a nice cushion in bluish-gray silk. It is an unusual design and not like most French boxes I have seen. It sits atop of four balled feet. It is marked on the bottom, "Made in France." The box is 3" by 3" by 1 3/4" tall! Very pretty and different. The box in the picture looks like it is ajar.
