SALE Gorgeous Antique French Porcelain Beveled Hand Mirror w/ Cherub

$455 USD SaleSALE Gorgeous Antique French Porcelain Beveled Hand Mirror w/ Cherub

Antiques:Accessories:Hand Mirrors:Porcelain
This is a wonderful hand-mirror in excellent condition. It is French and has a gold dore bronze edge and cherub on the mirror. It also has a gold metal ring in which the mirror can be hung from. From the Nineteenth Century it has obviously been well taken care of. Look at the indentation in the porcelain; this is where the lady would hold her finder to balance the mirror in her hand. It gave a better grip and you can tell this by picking it up. Very unique. The mirror is beveled and in ...
SALE 19th Century Antique Silver Metal Skirt Lifter w/ Chain

$145 USD SaleSALE 19th Century Antique Silver Metal Skirt Lifter w/ Chain

Antiques:Accessories
The first time I ever saw one of these is in the Miami Antique Show. I had to ask what it was. Perhaps I had seen one before but never noticed or asked what it was. It is a tool made for women in the 1800's to hang off there belt or chatelaine to grab and lift their long skirts to walk through mud or water. The toothed gadget, grabs the skirt, like a pair a tongs grab a roll, and lift the fabric of the skirt up from the feet of the lady to protect the fabric of the skirt or dress. Pretty unique ...
SALE Two Antique Vanity Victorian Perfume Bottles in Fabric Case / Box1880's

$155 USD SaleSALE Two Antique Vanity Victorian Perfume Bottles in Fabric Case / Box1880's

Antiques:Accessories:Perfume Bottles
This box of perfume bottles was produced between 1870-1900. This was a typical box for perfumes and they could be carried for travel in this box. The box has some velvet on the edge, and the whole of the box on the outside is fabric. When you open it up it has a Cardboard scene of a ship and boat with a little girls picture on it. I don't know if this was part of the set when it originally was purchased or not. It looks good and is a picture that is artist signed by Muson. This is a print of ...
Silver Plated Victorian Calling Card Case w/ Chain for Chatelaine

$195 USDSilver Plated Victorian Calling Card Case w/ Chain for Chatelaine

Antiques:Accessories:Calling Card Cases:Silver Plated
I found the chain an interesting link or addition to this calling card case. It is a chain that would have attached to a chatelaine or belt. Or perhaps the ring was worn on a ladies ring finger as with compact, purses, and perfume bottles way back when! There is an etched bird in the delightful Art Nouveau silver metal design, and the design is the same on both sides of the case. The hinge works well. There is some silver plating which has come off on the sides. Perhaps some soldering on one ...

$275 USD SaleSALE Victorian Chatelaine w/ Writing Instruments Wax Seal, Pencil, Change Holder

In very good condition for its over 100 year old age, is this gold colored metal, filigree antique chatelaine. On it is a coin, with some patina, that states the Lord's prayer. There is also a gold toned pencil and a change holder and a wax seal with a glass end and a bird on it. The glass is chipped on the seal, but otherwise the rest of this chatelaine is in great condition. Rare and harder to find complete and Antique.
SALE Vinaigrette in Acorn Shaped Cranberry Glass with Hinged Top

$450 USD SaleSALE Vinaigrette in Acorn Shaped Cranberry Glass with Hinged Top

Antiques:Accessories:Vinaigrette
This Vinaigrette is from Circa 1820-1840, from what the seller told me. It is lovely and hard to find. It has cranberry glass in the shape of an acorn with a sterling top. The inside has a grille over the opening. The top is an ornate design and in really good shape. I feel a small dent but not really noticeable to the eye. The glass has some rough edges to it, but no cracks or breaks or any major faults. The roughness along some of the edges could be smoothed out by a glass-man if you wish it ...
SALE Lovely French Enamel Miniature Portrait on Jeweled Compact Patch Box

$185 USD SaleSALE Lovely French Enamel Miniature Portrait on Jeweled Compact Patch Box

Antiques:Accessories:Patch Boxes
This could possibly be used as a pill box or compact today, but it was originally made to hold "patches" and is a 19th Century "patch box". Ladies wore "patches" on their faces to emulate Marie Antoinette, because of her royal status and natural mold on her face, beginning a tradition of molds being a sign of "beauty". These small and ornate boxes were used to store these patches. You have got to love the history of some of these beautiful, small antique boxes. The enamel is perfect on this ...
Antique 1826 Sterling Silver Marked Vinaigrette Francis Clark Birmingham

$325 USDAntique 1826 Sterling Silver Marked Vinaigrette Francis Clark Birmingham

Antiques:Accessories:Vinaigrettes:Sterling Silver
I looked up this hallmark and it is from Birmingham. It is marked on both pieces of the sterling Vinaigrette and a sterling mark of the Lion on the backside of the intricate cut grill. FC stands for Francis Clark who opened up his Birmingham Shoppe in 1826. I cannot read the letter on this to tell you the exact date, but after 1846 he added a period in between the F and C. The outside is machine tooled and the edge is reposse. This is before 1846. This does have some age wear and some small ...
Antique Victorian Black Wood Manicure and Dresser Set

$125 USDAntique Victorian Black Wood Manicure and Dresser Set

Antiques:Accessories:Dresser Sets
All accessories of this dresser box full of manicure and everyday utensils. Many times these boxes were given as wedding gifts. This one is in supreme condition with all utensils there. There is also a little piece of silver metal on each piece as a decoration. I guess this could have been initialed for a person. The box is sturdy but torn up on one side and looks good on the other. The inside has a bright yellow fabric in good condition. The instruments are clean but are slightly used. There is ...
SALE PENDING Sterling Silver Chatelaine Brooch Etui, Thimble Holder, Pin Cushion and Scissors

$450 USD Sale PendingSALE PENDING Sterling Silver Chatelaine Brooch Etui, Thimble Holder, Pin Cushion and Scissors

Antiques:Accessories:Chatelaines
In wonderful shape is this 19th century, all sterling silver chatelaine. This particular chatelaine is for sewing. It is a Brooch with metal loops on the back that attach various chains and placed on the skirt or blouse so the essentials would be near by. Since clothes were mostly made by hand, and people did not have a large wardrobe, they would need to repair the seams or hems now and then. There can be many other items added to these ornate brooches including spectacle cases, needle holders, ...
