Grand Duke Friedrich I was Grand Duke of Baden from 1856 to 1907. His wife, the Grand Duchess, was Princess Louise of Prussia, the only daughter of Emperor Wilhelm I and the Empress Augusta (see CDV's of the German Emperor and Empress in listing #PH - 045). Both CDV's are in very good condition with some foxing on each card. Both cards have the Prussian royal crest on the back. His has number 1027 printed below his title of "Grossherzog von Baden" and her card is numbered 1028 below "Grossherzogin von Baden." Price is for both. These cards came from European royalty CDV's apparently collected during someone's Grand Tour of Europe. The album in which they were found, as well as some of the other cards, were dated 1873 by their Victorian collector.
