Wilhelm I was King of Prussia from 1861 to 1888 and became the first German Emperor (Kaiser) in 1871. His Queen and Empress (Kaiserin) was Princess Augusta of Saxe-Weimar. Both CDV's are in very good condition with some foxing on each card. Both cards have the Prussian royal crest on the back. His has number 1001 printed below "Wilhelm I., deutecher Kaiser" and her card is numbered 1002 below "Augusta, deutsche Kaiserin." Price is for both CDV's. (see related German royalty CDV's in listing #PH - 046). These cards came from European royalty CDV's apparently collected during someone's Grand Tour of Europe. The album in which they were found, as well as some of the other cards, were dated 1873 by their Victorian collector.
