Beautiful PT Bavaria Cabinet Plate Hand Painted with Soft Yellow Hollyhocks- Tirschenrueth Porcelain Factory 1901-1920

This is the first I’ve ever seen Hollyhock like flowers painted on a plate and what a refreshing sight! The artist did a wonderful job capturing the different hues of yellows for the flowers. He has added dark centers to the flowers making them very life like. The use of the different stages of the flower has you waiting in anticipation of the flower to emerge from the bud. The petals are done in a mossy green which truly accents the flowers. The floral motif is set on a warm creamy background. A wide band of Roman Gold has been applied to the rim of the plate in a Art Nouveau style cradling in the wonderful flowers. Plate is in excellent condition. Would look impressive in a cabinet or on a plate stand!
