SALE Wonderful English Teapot with Bright Oriental Flowers and Lanterns ~ FESTIVAL Pattern ~ Crown Ducal Ware England / AG Richardson England 1925+
This is a beautiful vintage chintz teapot by Crown Ducal in the "Festival" pattern. Shop owner breakage!!! This piece was worth over $599 before is was bumped and then repaired. Great display piece for the collector! The piece has a cream background with a bright multi-colored floral oriental design with yellow Japanese lanterns incorporated throughout the flowers. The upper body of the pot has a scalloped edge. The handle has a unique shape with accents in mustard yellow on the cream background. The rim of the pot, lid and base are of the same beautiful mustard color as the handles accents. There is a small chip on inside rim of lid. The spout has been broken off and re-glued but it is still and awesome display piece. Manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
Please see our PLT801 which would make a wonderful underplate and complete this piece!
