Don’t let this one slip away; you will not see this at every antique store!!!! The workmanship shines above all others on this one. The artist has chosen a three handled cup with handles in the shape of an animals tusk. They are connected to the upper portion and gently curl slightly where they are connected on the lower portion. On the top of each handle very fine raised bead work has been placed in an ornamental fashion and painted in fine coin gold. The background of this piece has gold paint finely sprayed on the bottom portion which blends into a cream center. A rose pink color has been applied at the upper rim. Awesome ivory and gold roses in raised enamel adorn the center between the handles. Raised golden leaves and vines are intermingled with the flowers and light blue fern like designs have been painted around the flowers. Around the upper portion in the rose background, fine golden vines and leaves have been painted tying this design with the beautiful roses. The artist has initialed this piece with what appears to be “CH”. This piece is in excellent condition! There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc. Hand-painted, and largely hand-painted, wares designed and decorated by Robert Allen and artists in his studios, were often given RA-numbers, written by hand, in addition to the usual trade-mark and any other number. Unfortunately many of the record books giving details are missing. These hand-painted wares were not reproduced in great quantities and some items bearing RA-numbers would probably never have been repeated.

Backstamp: crown emblem England RA618 , C5411 RA number is PRIOR to 1892 only, ''C'' pattern code is 1893 approx. This appears to be a transitional piece one of only a few produced.

Measures: 6 1/4" W with handle 5 1/4" opening 6 " H
